picking through the cacophony

intermittent rants and some keepers

Tuesday, May 24, 2005

its nearing the end of may and the shifting sands i was walking on in january have seen me quit my job, on my second one and a half week break, go for 3 interviews and signed up for one.

i walk on the bridges of wilkinson eyre from the 6 june 2005 (www.wilkinsoneyre.com) and hope that i've set sail on the right ship. i've heard good things about them and i do like some of their work. more importantly, i have heard good things about their practice, their staff policy, their design approach and their attitude towards staff development. who knows what will happen when my hands joins the ones already on deck but with fingers crossed and a hopeful heart (especially on project and project team/leaders), i look forward to that monday with anticipation.

till then, i would've spent a week studying Architectural Project Management; sat an exam for it; gone to barcelona and seen super buildings new and old, tanned myself on the beach, shopped for new work attire (first to bata, then to school), had lots of seafood and sangria.

herzog & de meuron are having their travelling scaled down version of no.250 exhibition at the tate modern on the southbank from 1st of june 2005. he'll be in conversation with rowan moore (chair of architecture foundation, london) on 21st june 2005. i got tickets. jerome reserved one. i have one extra. any takers?

ok. end of update. i really should be burying my head in them books for next tuesday 3 hour paper...

talk then.
